Thermal fuses, defined as non-resettable, are single action devices that are widely used for the electrical equipments against over temperature. The thermal cutoffs are composed of the fusible alloy with low melting point and special resin, encapsulated in a plastic or ceramic housing. Under normal operated, the fusible alloy is joined by the two lead wires within the housing. When the thermal cutoff senses an abnormal heat and reach a preset temperature, the fusible alloy melts and disconnects the circuit completely with the aid of the special resin. Both Axial and Radial shapes are available, with rated current from 1A to 200A, Function temperature 76℃~221℃, certificated including UL, cUL, VDE,TUV,PSE, KTL, CCC and RoHS, REACH Compliant.

6. Operating Principle
Loaded themetal shell with movable electrode,spring and heat-variable fusion cake for RY series
thermal fuse.Spring B is encased into it on the state of compression, that ’ scan make spring B use
copper backing to stand up to movable electrode in order to contact with lead A.In the state of normal
times,current will connect with lead B through lead A ,movable electrode and metal shell .
When the environment temperature is greater than action temperature.The heat which through
Lead and metal shell will make the heat-variable fusion cake meltin to liquid.At the same time,spring
A and B will repristination,so spring A will push the movable electrode to direction of spring B,that’ s
can cutoff the connection of spring A and cutoff the circuit .
